The fresh case filed by a city-based religious organisation Mazlumeen-e-Ummatay Mohammediya headed by Moullim Mohsin Bin Hussain Al-Kasary in the Nampally criminal courts on Wednesday created anxious moments to Sania and her family. Even before the Banjara Hills police acted upon the court directions and registered an FIR, the family members of Sania told her to get out of Hyderabad along with Shoaib as early as possible. They feared that the couple might be held up here for an indefinite period, if the court takes up the case seriously and impound their passports till the investigation is completed. So, they thought it would be better to leave the country before the case becomes complicated.
By the time the case was registerd, the couple quietly left Hyderabad late on Wednesday and went to Mumbai. After a photography session in Mumbai, Sania and Shoaib are expected to fly to Lahore in Pakistan by evening.
Unfortunately, there was no formal send off function (“vidayee” ceremony in Muslims, just like Appaginthalu in the Hindu families) at Sania’s residence. There were not many to see off the couple at the airport, except Sania’s parents, sister and a few cousins. After the couple left, the Banjara Hills police registered the case.
