Will Komaram Puli be pulled back in Telengana?

Saturday, May 1, 2010
Pavan's “Komaram Puli,” might not get to roar in Telengana at all. JAC chairman M Kodandaram said that PRP was against the formation of Telangana and Pavan Kalyan was also its youth leader till 2009 general elections. He said JAC will oppose the activities of leaders who are opposed to Telangana including their films and other products. The students’ JAC, he said, had also given a call to obstruct the screening of the film. Mr.Kondandaram alleged that Telengana artistes were being discriminated against and the cinema JAC has been formed to look into their problems. The ‘cinema JAC’ will be organizing a meeting to discuss the issue on May 16 in the city and veteran film artists and producers will attend and explain how non-Telangana producers were dominating the film industry. Pavan's film has a lot riding on its shoulders both from an industry view point and a distributors’ view point. Any interruptions there will make a bad year turn into a worst one for the industry concerned. Pavan's association with politics is turning out to be very costly for his producers and distributors.
