ANR-Nag Mimicry Promotion On Akasavani

Wednesday, February 17, 2010
What used to be a laid-back radio channel for many years now is trying to improve and keep-up with the modern times. We are talking of the AIR owned Rainbow FM.

All these days FM Rainbow used to sound traditional with elderly voices and a 4 seconds pause between sentence to sentence. But in commercial FM channels, every second is calculated in monitory units. Hence the jockeys speak fast and every second will be used for Ads. But to keep pace with such channels, Akasavani has changed its name to ‘FM Rainbow’. But still traditional stuff hasn't gone away from it.

Still, adopting the contemporary style, the channel has relayed a promotion program on ‘Kedi’.

In this promotion they had a mimicry show in which ANR and Nagarjuna were mimicked and the entire show was focused on the song Mu mu mu Mudhante Cheda. The concept has Nag telling father ANR that he too likes the muddhu from the beautiful girl. Indeed it was a humorous memorable show.
