Abhishek Bachchan is one proud hubby ever since his wife Aishwarya was honoured with the Woman for Global Achievement Award for representing India on the world stage with style and substance. Ash was all set to attend the event to receive her award, but she fell ill suddenly. “The doting husband that he is, Abhishek decided to attend the show on Ash’s behalf. The actor, who was shooting for Ritesh Sidhwani’s Crooked, in the outskirts, wrapped up his shooting early and drove down to south Mumbai to receive the award. He thanked everyone at the event.” said a source. Ash was touched by his gesture.
Interestingly, it was Abhishek’s turn to be surprised last week when Ash called friends over for his birthday celebration.(DC)
