Brahmanandam’s Generosity For ‘Guava Lady’

Thursday, March 11, 2010
There is a common gossip in the film circles that the noted comedian Brahmanandam is said to be quite a stingy person. But one look at this book would change your perspective towards him. The credit for this goes to the famous book ‘Ounnathyam’ and this has been written by the scholarly Malladi Venkata Krishna Murthy.

Apparently, the book comprises world celebrities and their special act of generosity and kindness which is truly inspiring. In that book, there is also an incident about Brahmananadam given in small paragraph.

This is about a lady selling guavas and what happened when she came to Brahmi’s home.

It seems he asked how much the basket is and the lady said Rs 300. Without a second thought, he gave it and when the ladies at his home asked that he could have bargained, Brahmi said that the fifty rupees may not matter much to him but it means a whole lot to the lady. This is one inspiring tale from the usually labeled miser Brahmanandam. So, we cannot brand a person with hearsays. There are great things associated with them in this way that truly inspire millions.
