The entire Andhra Predesh is suffering due to present disturbances in the state. This is not only effecting the students, industries, businessmen, state government and central government but also Tollywood was hit very badly. The movies season was supposed to start in December 1st week and continue till Sakranthi in 2010. But unfortunately the Telangana crises had shook the Tollywood industry so much that the producers and distributors are not willing to risk by releasing their movies at this point of time.
Most of the producers big and small decided to postpone their films’ releases to January hoping that the days would come to normal by then. In this line the release dates of NTR’s ‘Adhurs’ and Sekhar Kammula-Rana’s ‘Leader’ which were supposed to release during the Christmas period, will be announced sooner or later. Likewise Raja’s ‘Inkosari’ got postponed to January 1st and Sharwanand’s ‘Prasthanam’ is also releasing in January 1st week. While it is like this, even Nag’s film ‘Kedi’ got postponed from January 9th to January 14th. So let’s hope that everything will come back to normal atleast before New Year and the year 2010 will begin with smiles in all faces.
