NTR ‘Sakthi’ and ‘Brindavanam’ shoot is going briskly in Vikarabad forest. Young Tiger NTR ‘Sakthi’ is currently being shot in Vikarabad forest. The unit is currently canning some crucial action sequences between hero NTR and others.

In fact NTR tweeted, “ My directer my cameraman nd my twin action directors..vikarabad...... Shooting in vikarabad forest..shakti unit left me here to shoot for brindawanam..,”

NTR ‘Sakthi’ is directed by Meher Ramesh. NTR, Meher Ramesh and Ashwini Dutt are coming together for the second time after ‘Kantri’. In fact, recently, ‘Sakthi’ producer C Ashwini Dutt has roped in noted writer Yandamuri Veerendranath as script advisor for the film, and later hired powerful Villain in Sonu Sood, Kamasutra model Pooja Bedi in a special role and Bollywood hero Jackie Shroff.

Also, NTR ‘Brindavanam’ will also shoot in the same vicinity – which is rather a surprise. ‘Brindavanam’ is directed by Vamsi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju under ‘Sri Venkateshwara Creations’ banner. This is the first time NTR and Vamsi Paidipally are working together. Kajal and Samantha are co-starring in this film. NTR ‘Brindavanam’ is releasing on August 15.

0 Rahman cancels Detroit show after infrastructure collapse

Music maestro A.R. Rahman says he has been forced to cancel his show in Detroit, Michigan due to an infrastructure collapse there and that the dates will be rescheduled.

“We are forced to cancel the show in Detroit due to an infrastructure collapse at The Pontiac Silverdome which damaged the set. The incident occurred during stage construction. No one was seriously injured,” Rahman, who has so far performed in New York, Atlantic City and Chicago, wrote on his Twitter page.

“The lighting rig came apart. Thanks to the almighty that everyone’s safe. My team escaped with minor injuries.

“Dates in Detroit and Toronto will be rescheduled due to the incident. I regret any inconvenience this causes my fans and am deeply grateful no one from my team or the local Detroit stage crew was seriously injured,” he posted on the microblogging site.

The Oscar winning musician is on a world tour titled “AR Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour” that takes him across US, Canada, France, Switzerland, Holland and Britain.

It is well known that Jr. Ntr is quite busy with the shooting of his forthcoming flick ‘Shakti’ which is shaping well in the hands of Meher Ramesh. It is being produced by Ashiwni Dutt.

It looks like the movie is getting much bigger not only in terms of budget but also in the star cast of the film. Already it was reported that Ashwini Dutt has roped in super star Krishna and Vijaya Nirmala to play Ntr parents in the film and Ileana pairing with Ntr adding more glamour to the film. Earlier, the producer C Ashiwni Dutt has also roped in noted writer Yandamuri Veerendranath as script advisor for the film. Now, the latest news is that Sonu Sood, who received many laurels for his performance in Anushka ‘Arundhati’ is going to play powerful villain in Ntr’s ‘Shakti’. On the other hand, Pooja Bedi and bollywood hero Jackie Shroff will appear in special roles.

Sources say that the film unit will soon fly to Egypt to shoot few important scenes and then they will have next schedules in Srinagar, Haridwar and Ladakh regions.

Raavan has received a thumbs down from the critics and the masses alike but most of them termed Aishwarya Rai- Bachchan the only 'saving grace' of the film.

Aishwarya has worked in the Hindi as well as the Tamil versions of the film. Working in two languages can be quite strenuous, especially so when you don’t know one of the languages too well.

But Ash says she gave her best to both the films. "As an actor, I have tried to give as much, if not more, while working with Vikram in the Tamil version as I would not like to be accused of trying to give more to one language than the other," she says.

"Both are equally important films to me and I have worked my butt off," she adds. Her hard work seems to have worked considering everyone liked her performance in the film, even though the film failed to generate much interest.

0 Kota Srinivas Rao’s Son Died In Accident

Veteran Telugu film actor Kota Srinivas Rao’s son Kota Prasad died in a road accident here Sunday. He was 39.

Kota Prasad is survived by wife and two children. He also acted in one Telugu film “Siddham” released last year and had signed a couple of other films.

Police said Prasad met with the accident at Narsangi near Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University while he was on his way to the airport.

His two-wheeler was hit by a truck. He was rushed to a private hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The body was shifted to Osmania Hospital, where an autopsy was performed. The body was later brought to his house, where eminent film personalities and politicians paid their last respects.

Srinivas Rao, a former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator, was inconsolable.

Actor-politician Chiranjeevi and Brahmanandam were among film personalities who consoled him.

BJP leaders also visited Srinivas Rao’s home. Chief Minister K. Rosaiah also expressed his shock over the death of Kota Prasad.

This is the second time a leading Telugu actor has lost his son in a road accident in Hyderabad.

In 2003, Pavan Kumar, son of actor and then state labour minister Babu Mohan had died when his two-wheeler hit a road divider in the Jubliee Hills area.
